Noodles are one of my favorite foods and one of the easiest meals you can always throw together in a pinch 💁🏻♀️ I haven’t been able to cook much in the kitchen since breaking my hand so I’m reminiscing on some of my favorite dishes.
GARLIC & OYSTER SAUCE NOODLES with a touch of hoisin sauce
1 8oz-16oz package of noodles (I used andean.dream quinoa noodles but you can use any kind of skinny noodles-vermicelli, spaghetti, ramen or egg noodles)
1-2 chopped green onions
2-3 minced garlic cloves
1 small nub of minced or grated ginger (I used a medium size bc we love ginger)
1/3 cup of oyster sauce
2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce
3 tablespoons of sesame oil
Small handful of cilantro-leave whole but remove stems
Dash of sea salt & black pepper
Cook noodles according to directions. Drain and rinse with cold water IF using gluten free noodles-this will stop the cooking process.
In same pot you boiled noodles in turn heat on medium low and addd sesame oil, ginger, garlic, green onions and cilantro. Sauté for a few minutes until fragrant. Add cooked noodles back into pot and add the oyster sauce and hoisin. Stir noodles to combine all the garlic, cilantro, ginger and green onion goodness. Season with a dash of sea salt and pepper and add to a bowl. Top with sesame seeds and garnish with more cilantro if you wish 👌🏻
*Optional topping: crushed red pepper.
